Ancient Nutra Ashwagandha Extract is the black "Enhanced" tub of the maker's ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) line: 60 capsules that combine a standardised root extract with ground root powder and a little black pepper extract. The back label calls it an organic withanolides extract, withanolides being the compounds the extract is standardised to.
In each capsule
- Standardised ashwagandha extract: 300mg
- Ashwagandha root powder: 200mg
- Black pepper extract: 10mg
How to use
The label's directions: one capsule twice a day, with a meal; the maker suggests one in the morning and one in the evening. The maker also advises taking it in courses, with a one-week break after every 8 to 12 weeks. It is a different product from the white-tub ashwagandha capsules, and the maker says to choose one, not both.
Ask a doctor before use if you are pregnant, nursing or on any prescription. The maker does not recommend it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Storage
Keep out of the reach of children, with the lid closed, in a cool, dry place.
