Ahmad Tea Ceylon Tea FBOPF is a loose black tea blended from FBOPF Ceylon teas to give a distinctive cup. FBOPF stands for Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings, a Ceylon grade made up of small, broken pieces of leaf.
Ahmad Tea describes the blend by three qualities: good strength, a bright colour and a subtle aroma. That makes it a tea for someone who likes a cup with body that still keeps a light fragrance. It is a sensible choice for the first pot of the morning or a mid-afternoon break, and the 100g pack is a handy size for trying the grade before buying more. Brew it to your own strength and take it plain or with milk as you prefer.
Ahmad Tea is a family tea company, founded in Southampton, England, in 1986 by Rahim Afshar and his brothers and named after their father. Its Colombo office, opened in 1996, tastes and buys tea at the Colombo tea auction and oversees the packing of Ahmad Tea in Sri Lanka. See the full Ahmad Tea range.
