About this experience
Set off at 8.30 am from the tour operator's base near Galle, where you're fitted with a mountain bike sized to you, a helmet, and leech socks before the briefing begins. Bottled water and refreshments are packed and ready. Over seven hours, your English-speaking local guide leads you through rural villages, paddy fields, and jungle tracks on a private ride — no shared groups, just your party on the trail. Minimum age is 12.
A village lunch prepared in a local home breaks up the day, giving you a genuine taste of life beyond the coastal tourist trail. The tour price covers your guide, all equipment, lunch, water, refreshments, and government taxes. Personal expenses and a tip for your guide are not included.
