About this experience
Saddle up for a private four-hour cycling tour through the lush hills surrounding Kandy, stopping at three of the region's most celebrated temples. Your English-speaking local guide leads you first to Gadaladeniya, an ancient monastery carved from rock, then on to Lankathilaka — the most magnificent edifice of the Gampola Era, rising dramatically above the surrounding paddy fields. The final stop is Embekke Temple, renowned for its intricate wood-carved pillars. A one-litre water bottle and two chocolate bars are provided per person to keep you fuelled along the route.
The tour is private, so you set the pace through the brilliant green countryside that connects each site. Minimum age is 12. Your guide, all government taxes, and service charges are included.
