About this experience
Pedal out of Kandy and into the Central Highlands on this private four-hour mountain-bike tour to Meemure, one of Sri Lanka's most isolated rural villages. Your experienced guide leads you across challenging mountain terrain as tea plantations roll past on either side. Midway, leave the bikes and hike to Mini World's End for sweeping valley views before continuing downhill into Meemure's untouched streets. Mountain bikes, helmets, and unlimited 500 ml bottled water are provided throughout. Minimum age is 13.
Meemure sits entirely off the grid — its residents grow their own food and live largely without outside supplies. Cycling in gives you a perspective no road trip can match. This is a private tour, so the pace and attention stay focused on your group. Note that hotel pick-up and drop-off, food, drinks beyond the water supplied, and gratuities are not included.
