Jetwing Hunas Falls Hotel sits at a high mountain retreat surrounded by lush green forest in Elkaduwa, within the Kandy district. The hotel is 26 km from Kandy — home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth — and 143 km from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Its position is deliberately removed from the bustle of the main city, rewarding guests instead with a spectacular highland landscape that unfolds across the Hunnasgiriya Hills.

A waterfall cascades through steep tea plantations and expanses of spice cultivations before crashing into a beautiful small lake at the edge of the hotel's immaculately maintained gardens. For those who need to reach Kandy quickly, the hotel has even installed a helipad on the property.

The Natural Setting

The gardens and surrounding landscape are a nature lover's paradise. Early mornings bring a wrapping mist, and breakfast can be taken in the open air among flowers and plants. The lake beside the hotel draws wildlife including otters, eagles, monkeys, parakeets and mongoose.
