Zet je schrap en volg de opkomst en ondergang van het oude Kotte-koninkrijk op deze viertour privé fiets- en wandeltocht vanuit Colombo. Slechts enkele kilometers van de stad vandaan leidt je Engelssprekende gids je langs een historische route vol verhalen over gevechten, verraad en literair erfgoed — het soort details dat een fietsrit verandert in een levendig venster op Sri Lanka's verleden. Kies de 15 km of 25 km route en rij vervolgens door weelderige rijstvelden, waterreservoirs, wetlands en vogelreservaten. Houd uitkijk naar monitorhagedissen, een grote verscheidenheid aan vogels en af en toe een krokodil. Halverwege stop je voor een lokale "rotty" met hete thee voordat je tegen 11:30 uur terugkeert naar het afzetpunt.
