Cinnamon leaf oil from Bowatte, in a 28ml bottle. It is an essential oil steam-distilled from the leaves of the cinnamon tree, not the bark, and it has a warm, spicy scent with a strong clove note. Cinnamon leaf oil is one of Sri Lanka's traditional export oils.
How it is used
- A few drops in an aroma diffuser or oil burner to scent a room
- Diluted in a carrier oil such as coconut or almond oil before it touches the skin
- Added in small amounts to home-made cleaning sprays for its scent
Cinnamon leaf oil is strong: never apply undiluted, keep away from the eyes and mucous membranes, do not swallow, and keep out of reach of children and pets.
