About this experience
Spend four hours exploring Colombo's street food scene on this private, English-guided culinary tour. Your first stop is a small kiosk where you try your initial taste of Sri Lankan fare, then head to the Kolpetty Market — a lively mix of colourful fresh-produce stalls, meat and fish counters, and souvenir shops. From there, move on to Malwatta Road in the Colombo Fort area, picking up tangy Achcharu from the Achcharu Hut and cooling down with a fresh juice at the Juice Hut.
Next, walk the seafront stalls lining Galle Face Green to sample egg hoppers, plain hoppers, tempered kadala, prawn vadé and parippu vadé. The tour wraps up at the open kitchen of 'Nana', where a plate of freshly made Kottu rounds off the evening. Your guide speaks English throughout, and bottled water is provided to keep you refreshed along the way.
