About this experience
Step into your private, air-conditioned vehicle in Mount Lavinia and head north to explore three of Sri Lanka's ancient capitals in a single 13-hour day. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide leads you first to Dambadeniya, where you walk the grounds of the old Temple of the Tooth Relic and the royal palace complex that once served as the kingdom's seat of power. From there, you climb the dramatic rock fortress of Yapahuwa — its ornate stairway and carved stonework standing as a testament to 13th-century craftsmanship.
The day ends at Panduwasnuwara, an old city whose ruins span more than two millennia of Sri Lankan history. Lakpura handles your hotel pickup and drop-off, and a one-litre water bottle per person is provided for the journey. Children aged five and above are welcome on this private tour. Food, beverages, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included.
