Montez à bord de votre véhicule privé à Hikkaduwa et dirigez-vous vers l'intérieur des terres jusqu'au parc national d'Udawalawe pour une escapade faunique de deux jours. Votre guide-chauffeur anglophone gère tous les trajets, le stationnement et les péages d'autoroute, afin que vous arriviez prêt à explorer. Deux bouteilles d'eau de 500 ml par personne sont fournies chaque jour pour vous rafraîchir sur la route.

Deux safaris en jeep d'une demi-journée — l'un pendant la journée et l'autre en fin d'après-midi — vous plongent au cœur du parc, où les troupeaux d'éléphants sauvages se rassemblent autour de lacs naturels et de sources fraîches. Gardez les yeux ouverts pour les Buffles d'eau, Sangliers sauvages, Cerfs tachetés, Sambar, Chacals, Lièvres à nuque noire, Mangouste, et l'endémique Macaque à bonnet et Langur gris. L'hébergement à l'hôtel, les repas et les frais d'entrée au parc ne sont pas inclus et sont arrangés séparément.

Day 1 — Hikkaduwa > Udawalawe

Later visit the Udawalawe National Park to catch sight of the famous Sri Lankan Elephant. See the herds relax and play in the cool waters of the Udawalawe Reservoir. Catch sight of many other endemic mammals, reptiles, birds and butterflies that also call the park home

Weherahena Poorwarama Raja Maha Viharaya is situated in the Matara District of Sri Lanka, about 6 kilometers off the Matara town. This rather unique temple is known as the first tunnel temple in the world. The temple hosts a massive 130-ft Buddha image that was built following the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa eras and also consists of all main features of a Buddhist temple- the pagoda, a sacred bo-tree and Samadhi Buddha statue. The walls of the temple are adorned with with Buddha murals. According to the historical records, the tunnel temple paintings narrate the Jātaka tales (legends) of Ummagga Jathaka and Umandawa
