Cycle from Haputale up to Lipton's Seat, the misty hilltop vantage point where tea magnate Sir Thomas Lipton once surveyed his sprawling estates. On a clear day, five of Sri Lanka's nine provinces stretch out before you in a single panoramic sweep — one of the most striking views on the island. Lakpura provides a high-end bike, helmet, and a bottle of water, with first-aid kit and spares on hand throughout. This is a private, four-hour ride suited to guests aged seven and above.
The route winds through verdant tea country, so expect rolling gradients and cool hill-country air rather than flat tarmac. Transport to and from the starting point is included, so you arrive ready to ride. Gratuities and any food or drink beyond the included water bottle are at your own expense.
