Setting and Location

The property sits 5 kilometres inland from the coastal Galle Road — as the crow flies — perched on top of a ridge within a 12-acre tea estate. From this elevated position, guests are treated to breathtaking panoramic views that sweep across palm-fringed jungle and out toward the Indian Ocean. The surrounding estate gives the hotel that genuine Sri Lankan countryside feeling that is so difficult to find this close to the coast.

The Villa and Its Spaces

Walking alongside the saffron wall that defines much of the property's character, guests encounter the main area of the villa: three detached rooms running adjacent to the wall. First comes the Peacock Suite, followed by the Living Pavilion — a huge, airy space flanked on each side by Lily Ponds, over which guests step to reach the Dining Pavilion beyond.

Past the Dining Pavilion lies the infinity-edged pool, 20 metres in length, with dark green polished cement sides that keep it looking cool and inviting. Beside the pool, a recessed area shaded by white bougainvillea provides a charming spot where breakfast or lunch may be taken in the open air. Glimpsed beyond the Saffron Wall are the Tamarind Suite and Mango Suite, while Tea and Garden Suites lie beyond the pool, wrapped in lush tropical greenery.

The hotel offers five air-conditioned suites, each designed with stylish, spacious interiors that are ideal for unwinding. Panoramic views of the surrounding jungle and the Indian Ocean make every suite a tranquil retreat in its own right.
