About this experience
Strap into your harness, clip onto the rope, and descend a live waterfall in the rainforest hills above Kitulgala. Your guide — trained in CPR, lifesaving, and rope-access technique — walks you through a comprehensive safety briefing before you step backwards over the cascade. Safety helmets, fully adjustable life jackets, and descending devices are all provided. The activity runs for four hours and is private, so the pace is yours. Minimum age is 10.
Make your own way to Kitulgala; hotel transfers, food, and gratuities are not included. Refreshments are provided on site. This is a controlled but genuinely challenging descent — expect cold water, wet rock, and the full weight of a Sri Lankan waterfall pushing against you as you work your way down.
