About this experience
After dark near Sigiriya, step into the forest with your expert naturalist guide and scan the branches for one of Sri Lanka's most elusive residents — the slender loris. These wide-eyed, slow-moving primates are fully nocturnal and arboreal, spending their lives high in the tropical woodland canopy. Your guide reads the forest carefully, pointing out lorises as they pick their way through the branches in their characteristic cautious, deliberate climb. The three-hour private hike includes your entrance ticket and English-language commentary throughout.
Children aged five and above are welcome on this small-group night walk. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, so arrange your own transport to the meeting point. Gratuities and personal expenses are also outside the tour price. This experience is highly recommended for anyone keen on mammal watching during their time in the Cultural Triangle.
