About this experience
Board your private jeep at Kumana National Park and spend 12 hours deep in one of Sri Lanka's most rewarding birdwatching destinations. Between April and July, tens of thousands of migratory birds descend on the park's wetlands — keep your eyes open for White-breasted Waterhen, Black-crowned Night Heron, Indian Pond Heron, Purple Swamphen, Common Moorhen, and various duck species gathering in large flocks around the reserve.
Your experienced driver doubles as your tracker, navigating the terrain and pointing out species along the route. The tour is entirely private, with a maximum of six passengers per jeep. Free pickup and drop-off is included for any location within 5 km of the park gate, and each passenger receives a 1-litre water bottle. Park entrance tickets, food, and gratuities are not included. Lakpura organises the full 12-hour outing so you can focus on what's in front of you.
