Head inland to Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, where you walk among an extensive collection of orchids, palms, and tropical plants spread across manicured grounds. Next, step into the heart of Kandy to visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred sites. Entrance tickets for both attractions are not included, so carry local currency. A stroll along the tranquil Kandy Lake rounds off your time in the hill capital before the return drive to Bentota.
