About this experience

Strap on your boots and head into Sinharaja — Sri Lanka's UNESCO-listed rainforest and one of the island's last stretches of primary lowland jungle. Over six hours, you hike the forest trails with a dedicated naturalist who points out endemic birds, rare plants, and the layered ecosystem that makes Sinharaja unlike anywhere else on the island. Raise your binoculars to spot species such as the Sri Lanka blue magpie, red-faced malkoha, and green-billed coucal moving through the canopy. This is a private tour, so the pace and focus are yours to set.

Your naturalist and support staff are included throughout, along with refreshments and energy slabs to keep you going on the trail. Transport to the Sinharaja Forest Reserve trailhead is not included, so arrange your own transfer or ask Lakpura for guidance. Minimum age is five, making this a solid choice for families with older children who are comfortable on uneven ground.
