The mini suite at Amaara Sky consists of a large bedroom, a sitting room and its own private balcony while the penthouse is found spread across 2 floors of the hotel. The penthouse boasts of covering an area of approximately 2000 sq. Ft while it includes 2 king sized beds, a sitting and dining area and a large balcony. 4 guests can easily accommodate the penthouse while 2 extra beds can be provided upon request.
The Amaara Sky Hotel Spa which is also known as the Spa in the sky is the perfect place to relax while taking in the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains. Traditional Ayurvedic treatment packages are offered while experienced therapists are there for your assistance. The spa also boasts of a Jacuzzi. Giving the vibes of an art gallery, Amaara Sky Hotel displays over 80 beautiful oil paintings which are creations of local artists while they are displayed all over the hotel. The hotel also comprises of a team of well experienced chefs enabling guests to enjoy mouth-watering meals prepared by fresh and local produce.
Kandy has always been a tourist attraction mainly due to its royal background and cultural importance. There are a number of interesting and historically relevant venues that guests can visit while some of them are of proximity to the hotel. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the Gem Museum, the Hanthane Tea Museums and the Hanthane mountain ranges, the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the War Heroes Cemetery are to name a few. Amaara Sky Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel which is located about 2km away from the city centre of Kandy. Kandy which is the hill capital as well as the cultural capital of Sri Lanka is about a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive away from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake as well as from Colombo. Public transportation options are available on a daily basis while there are intercity trains and buses that run to and from Kandy on a regular timetable.
