The Kingsbury Colombo stands in the commercial heart of the city, looking out over the Indian Ocean, on Colombo's Western Coastal belt. The town centre is about 0.7 km away, and it's roughly 27 km as the crow flies from Bandaranaike International Airport. Secretariat Halt station is a 0.5 km walk, Colombo Fort station 0.9 km, and Kompannavediya station 1.4 km, putting the World Trade Center, banks, shopping malls and the central bus and rail links all within easy reach.
The hotel offers 250 rooms and suites, including Standard, Superior and Deluxe categories, along with suites and a presidential suite. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and Bvlgari bath products, LCD television with satellite channels, a digital safe, tea and coffee making facilities, air-conditioning with temperature control, and Wi-Fi (charged). Suites add separate living rooms, marble-floored bathrooms and daily butler service, with round-the-clock butler service in the presidential suite.
Guests also have 24-hour in-room dining, laundry service and front desk, along with wedding and honeymoon planning services. From here, the Colombo National Museum, the Dutch Hospital precinct, Galle Face Green and the Pettah market are all within a short distance, with the southern coast's beaches an easy day trip further afield.
