About this experience
Climb into your private safari jeep at your Tissamaharama hotel and head into Yala National Park — Sri Lanka's second-largest national park and one of the world's best places to spot the Sri Lankan leopard. Your experienced driver doubles as your tracker, reading paw prints and rustling undergrowth so you don't miss a thing. Over four hours you scan the scrub for elephants grazing near the reservoir, crocodiles basking on mudflats, and hundreds of aquatic birds settled along the waterways. Each jeep carries a maximum of six passengers, keeping the experience personal and the noise down.
The tour runs entirely in English and includes door-to-door pickup and drop-off from your hotel in Tissamaharama, plus a 500 ml bottle of water per person. Note that park entrance fees are paid separately in cash on arrival, and food is not provided. Minimum age is five years.
