About this experience
Board your private, air-conditioned vehicle from your Tangalle hotel and head to Yala National Park — one of Sri Lanka's most biodiverse wilderness areas on the island's southeast coast. Your English-speaking driver handles the transfer, so you arrive at the park relaxed and ready. Once inside, climb into a soft-top jeep with the roof open and scan the scrub forest and reservoirs for leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and an abundance of birdlife. Choose a morning slot to catch the golden light at dawn, or opt for an evening departure and watch the sky deepen over the treeline.
The 8-hour private tour includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, the jeep safari itself, and your driver throughout. Park entrance tickets, food, drinks, and gratuities are not included, so carry some cash and a packed lunch or snacks. Children aged 5 and above are welcome.
