About this experience
Board your private, air-conditioned vehicle in Galle and spend two days exploring Sri Lanka's storied south. On day one, walk the cobblestone lanes of the UNESCO-listed Galle Dutch Fort, watch stilt fishermen balance over the waves at Koggala, and tour Handungoda Tea Estate — the country's only low-land tea plantation — to see how the leaves are processed. A daily one-litre bottle of water per person keeps you refreshed throughout. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles navigation and commentary at every stop.
Day two heads inland to Yala National Park, where you scan the scrub for leopards and elephants on a full wildlife safari. Afterwards, take a moment at the Japanese Peace Pagoda above Jungle Beach before the drive back to Galle. Accommodation and park entrance fees are not included, giving you the freedom to book the stay that suits your budget. Lakpura arranges all transport between each site, so you simply show up and explore.
