About this experience
Board a private safari jeep — seating up to six passengers — and head into Wilpattu National Park alongside an experienced driver-tracker and a dedicated naturalist. Over three hours, you scan the park's distinctive villus (natural lakes) and surrounding scrub forest for Sri Lankan Leopard, Sloth Bear, and an impressive variety of birdlife. Your naturalist points out well-camouflaged mammals, identifies calls before you spot the source, and explains the properties of rare plant species you pass along the track.
Free pickup and drop-off is included for any location within 5 km of Hunuwilagama, and each passenger receives a bottle of water. Park entrance tickets, food, and gratuities are not included. The tour is private, conducted in English, and is suitable for guests aged five and above — making it a focused wildlife outing for families and small groups alike.

Amazing wildlife, but questionable ticketing experience
Overall, a great park experience - we saw a leopard, Sri Lanka junglefowl, deer, a falcon, even a small bear, and plenty of buffalo. Worth visiting.
But the ticketing felt like a scam. We were charged full foreigner rat…
