About this experience
Board a 4x4 safari jeep — seats up to six passengers — and spend three hours exploring Minneriya National Park, home to the world's largest congregation of Asian Elephants. Your experienced driver doubles as your tracker, navigating the park's dry mixed forest, open scrubland, and grassland habitats while you scan for herds gathering at the ancient Minneriya Tank. A 1-litre water bottle is provided, and free pickup and drop-off is included for any location within 5 km of the park gate.
Keep your eyes on the tree line for rare and endemic bird species as the jeep moves between habitat zones. The park entrance tickets are included when the "Jeep With Tickets" option is selected. This is a private activity, so your group has the jeep to yourselves. Minimum age is five years. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Hotel transfers beyond the 5 km radius carry an additional charge.
