About this experience
Clip into your harness, take a breath, and step back over the edge — water rushing past you as you abseil down a live waterfall in the hills above Ella. Your experienced guide, trained in CPR and rope access techniques, walks you through a comprehensive safety briefing before you descend. Harnesses, helmets, descending devices, and fully adjustable life jackets are all provided. Transfer from Ella to the activity location is included, so you arrive ready to go. The session runs for three hours and is operated as a private activity, minimum age 13.
This is a sport that rewards nerve and precision. You control your own descent, managing the rope hand-over-hand while the waterfall pushes against you. Food, beverages, gratuities, and hotel pick-up are not included, so bring water and any snacks you need. Beautiful natural waterfall off the tourist track
We were taken here on recommendation by our Tuk Tuk driver and I can confirm the setting is idyllic as the pictures.You have to cross 3 bridges of stone until you reach the waterfall which was quite challenging at times…

Do not miss to go to this waterfalls
Do not miss to go to this place which is about an hour from Bentota. Such a crystal clear water and wood fire cooked dishes cooked by locals.

We went there with a local guide, along many rice fields and tea plantations.
