Satkara Cucumber Facial Wash is a soap-free face wash produced by Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation, the state-owned institution that has been manufacturing Ayurvedic and personal care products in Sri Lanka since 1969. The 100 ml bottle is formulated specifically for oily skin and sits at a pH of 5.5 to 6.0, keeping it close to the skin's natural range.
The wash is built around natural cucumber extract, which gives the formula its character, alongside glycerin, which lends a degree of moisture retention to the rinse. The full ingredient list, as printed on the packaging, is: Natural Cucumber Extract, Water, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, PEG-150 Distearate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Methyl Paraben Blend, and Fragrance. The cleansing agents used are of the sulfosuccinate and betaine types rather than conventional soap, which is reflected in the soap-free designation on the label.
The product comes in a clear plastic bottle with a green flip-top cap, making it straightforward to dispense a controlled amount. The 100 ml size is practical for daily use at home and compact enough to travel with. As with all Satkara facial washes, this product is for external use only; if any irritation develops, use should be stopped.
