About this experience
Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's most remarkable ancient citadels — on this private, seven-hour tour from Dambulla. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide collects you directly from your hotel and drives you to the site in an air-conditioned vehicle. Explore the archaeological ruins, study the celebrated frescoes, and take in sweeping views from the summit before descending to the plains below. Two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided to keep you refreshed throughout.
After the fortress, the tour continues to a nearby Sigiriya village, where you walk through traditional homesteads and observe everyday rural life at close quarters.
