About this experience

Board your private safari jeep in Habarana for an 11-hour day trip that takes you through three distinct sides of Sri Lanka. Start at Sigiriya, the ancient rock fortress rising nearly 200 metres above the surrounding plains — climb the steps carved into the rock and take in the panoramic views from the summit. Next, pass through a traditional rural village and get a glimpse of everyday Sri Lankan life before heading into the wild.

The afternoon belongs to Minneriya National Park, where a 3-hour private jeep safari brings you face to face with herds of wild elephants, water buffalo, and a rich variety of birdlife gathering around the reservoir. Your English-speaking driver-chauffeur handles all navigation, and two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided to keep you refreshed. Hotel pick-up and drop-off from Habarana are included, along with entrance tickets when the Transport+Tickets option is selected. Minimum age is 7 years.
