About this experience

Climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress — a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising 180 metres above the surrounding plains — with a private English-speaking chauffeur guide at your side. Over 6.5 hours, you explore the ancient citadel's frescoes, mirror wall, and royal gardens, tracing the story of a 5th-century kingdom regarded as one of the greatest in Sri Lankan history. Transport throughout the day is in an air-conditioned vehicle, and two 500 ml water bottles per person are included to keep you refreshed on the climb.

After descending the fortress, the tour continues into a nearby Sigiriya village, where you see traditional rural life up close — paddy fields, local craftsmanship, and unhurried village rhythms. A traditional village lunch is served as part of the experience. This is a private tour, suitable for travellers aged 7 and above. Entrance tickets to the Rock Fortress are not included and should be arranged separately.
