Climb the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress — a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising 200 metres above the surrounding plains — and explore the palace ruins, frescoes, and landscaped gardens of what was once one of Sri Lanka's most powerful kingdoms. After Sigiriya, step into a local village to see traditional Sri Lankan rural life at close quarters, sitting down to a traditional village lunch included in your tour.
