Siddhalepa Ayur Elixir Kadirarishta (220ml) is a classical Ayurvedic preparation, an arishta (a liquid herbal elixir taken by mouth), made with Woodfordia fruticosa, Mesua ferrea and Pterocarpus santalinus. Siddhalepa sells this formula as Kadirarishtaya in its Ayur Elixirs range, and it is taken before meals as the maker directs below.
An arishta is made by slowly fermenting a decoction of herbs, a method described in the classical Ayurvedic texts and still widely used in Sri Lanka. Ayur is the everyday Siddhalepa range, and its elixirs come in 220ml bottles.
