Siddhalepa Ayur Elixir Draksharishta (220ml) is a classical Ayurvedic preparation, an arishta (a liquid herbal elixir taken by mouth), made with Elettaria repens, Eucalyptus globulus, Mesua ferrea, Pogostemon heyneanus and Piper longum. Siddhalepa sells this formula as Draksharishtaya in its Ayur Elixirs range, and it is taken before meals as the maker directs below.
An arishta is made by slowly fermenting a decoction of herbs, a method described in the classical Ayurvedic texts and still widely used in Sri Lanka. Ayur is the everyday Siddhalepa range, and its elixirs come in 220ml bottles.
