About this experience
Slip beneath the surface off Negombo and discover colourful coral formations and reef fish on this private, two-hour scuba diving session. All diving equipment is provided and a qualified instructor accompanies you throughout — whether you're a first-timer working through a brief training session or a PADI-certified diver ready to go independently. Tours start at 9:00am and run between November and April, when visibility conditions are at their most reliable. The minimum age is 12.
Your underwater route takes in vibrant coral gardens and the SS Rangoon — a century-old British steamer resting upright on a sandy seafloor at 32 metres, its hull thick with colourful sea-life and well suited to underwater photography. Your instructor points out the best sights as you go, and there's always a chance of spotting treasure among the old wrecks. Lakpura arranges this as a private activity, so the pace is entirely your own. Gratuities are optional and not included.
