About this experience
Your chauffeur guide collects you directly from your Mount Lavinia hotel and drives you north to Anuradhapura — Sri Lanka's first great capital and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Over 12 hours you walk among colossal dagobas, sacred Bodhi tree shrines, and royal palace ruins that chart more than two millennia of Sinhalese civilisation. The tour is private, so the pace and focus are yours throughout.
Travel is in an air-conditioned vehicle, and a one-litre water bottle is provided per person. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide offers context at every site, turning stone and rubble into living history. Hotel drop-off is included at the end of the day.
