About this experience
Tackle Adam's Peak outside the main pilgrimage season and earn the summit with far fewer crowds on the trail. The 14-hour hike takes you through the dense jungles of the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary — one of Sri Lanka's most biodiverse rainforest reserves — as you climb the sacred 2,243-metre mountain revered by Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians alike. An English-speaking chauffeur guide leads the way, and three 300 ml bottles of mineral water per person keep you going on the ascent. Minimum age for participants is 12 years.
This is a group activity, so you'll share the trail with fellow hikers. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are not included, so arrange your own transfer to the trailhead. Personal expenses and tips are also at your own cost. All taxes are covered by Lakpura. Come prepared with sturdy footwear, rain gear, and a head torch — the off-season means lush, wet jungle, and that's exactly the point.
