About this experience
Pedal out of Anuradhapura and follow an 11-kilometre route east to Mihintale, the site where Arahath Mahinda Thero first preached Buddhism to King Dewanampiyatissa nearly 2,350 years ago. Your experienced cycling guide leads the way across the full route on a mountain bike supplied by Lakpura, helmet included. The eight-hour private tour keeps the pace personal — just your group, your guide, and the ancient monastic city ahead of you.
Refreshments and lunch are provided along the route, and a first-aid kit travels with the group. Entrance fees and hotel transfers are arranged separately. Minimum age for participants is five years old, so families are welcome to join.
