Link Triphala Oil is an Ayurvedic oil from the Sri Lankan maker Link Natural Products, sold under the label name Thriphala Thailaya. Triphala means three fruits, and the preparation is built around exactly that trio.
The three fruits are Aralu (Terminalia chebula), also called black myrobalan or Haritaki; Bulu (Terminalia bellirica), known as bastard myrobalan or Bibhitaki; and Nelli (Phyllanthus emblica), the Indian gooseberry, also called Amla or Amlaki.
The herbs are infused in sesame oil and ghee. The finished oil is a dark amber-brown liquid that shows clearly through the glass of the bottle.
It comes in a round amber glass bottle with a green screw cap, wrapped in a green label with a yellow diamond that carries the name in Sinhala, Tamil and English. The Link Natural tree logo sits on the reverse, and a printed panel gives the batch number with manufacture and expiry dates. The bottle shown is the 180ml size.
