Sukumāra Chūrṇa is a classical Ayurvedic herbal preparation in finely milled powder form, produced by Link Natural Products (Pvt.) Ltd at their facility in Malinda, Kapugoda, Sri Lanka. A churna is one of the oldest and most fundamental forms in Ayurvedic pharmacy — whole or dried plant materials are cleaned, dried and ground to a consistent powder, preserving the character of each ingredient without solvents or synthetic carriers. Link Natural has been making Ayurvedic formulations of this kind since 1982.
The powder is registered with the Sri Lankan Ayurvedic authority under registration number 6/2/1/02/2, which means it is produced and sold as a regulated Ayurvedic medicine in Sri Lanka, not as a food supplement. Link Natural manufactures its herbal pharmaceutical range in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices, with quality checks applied from raw material intake through to the finished product. The company is a subsidiary of CIC Holdings and exports to markets including the Middle East.
Sukumāra Chūrṇa is available in three pack sizes — 50 g, 100 g, and 1 kg — each sealed in a silver foil-laminate flat pouch with a bottom gusset and a hang hole at the top. The laminate format is well suited to a finely powdered preparation, keeping moisture and light away from the contents. The 1 kg size is practical for households that use the formulation regularly over a longer period.
The dosage printed on the packaging is 2.5 to 5 grams per use — equivalent to approximately half to one kalañcu — and use is directed to be in accordance with the guidance of an Ayurvedic physician. As with all registered Ayurvedic medicines, it is appropriate to consult a qualified practitioner before starting use to confirm the formulation and the quantity suit individual circumstances.
