Bhāskaralavana Chūrna is a classical Ayurvedic formulation belonging to the Churna category — that is, a preparation ground to a fine powder from dried herbs and other traditional ingredients. Link Natural Products, a Sri Lankan manufacturer established in 1982 and registered with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, produces this formulation under their Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals range, following classical recipes drawn from the Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia and other approved traditional texts.
The name itself carries meaning: 'lavana' in Sanskrit refers to salt, and salts are among the principal components of the classical Bhaskaralavana recipe alongside a combination of dried herbs. The finished powder, visible through the semi-transparent front panel of the pack, is a dark brown colour — characteristic of the combined plant and mineral ingredients prepared by the traditional Churna method.
Link Natural's Ayurvedic pharmaceutical products are formulated using classical recipes and prepared to modern manufacturing standards at their facility in Kapugoda, Sri Lanka. The product holds Sri Lanka Ayurveda registration number 6/2/1/02/2, the regulatory licence required for Ayurvedic medicines sold in Sri Lanka.
Bhāskaralavana Chūrna is available in three pack sizes — 50 g, 100 g, and 1 kg — each presented in a flat-bottomed silver foil pouch with a hang hole. In Sri Lanka, Link Natural's Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals are distributed through Ayurveda pharmacies and qualified Ayurvedic practitioners. For guidance on use and appropriate dosage, consultation with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner is the appropriate course.
