Laaksha (lacquer) work is one of Sri Lanka's oldest crafts: turned wood decorated with bright natural lacquer, made from the lac insect and native trees. This journey takes you to a hidden village near Matale where artisans still practise it.

- Hands-on session: try the craft yourself with the local artisans.
- Tea with the villagers: a tea break with your hosts.
- A 360-degree view: stop at a panoramic viewpoint over the surrounding hills.
