About this experience
On the night of 25 August 2026, the 3rd Randoli Perahera lights up the streets of Kandy in one of the festival's most visually striking processions. Kandyan dancers, drummers, fire-eaters, and acrobats lead the way before the centrepiece arrives — a majestic elephant carrying the Sacred Tooth Relic through the city. "Randoli" refers to the royal palanquin of the queen, and the night carries that regal weight, blending centuries-old religious ritual with royal pageantry. Expect large, enthusiastic crowds and a two-hour spectacle that moves at a deliberate, ceremonial pace.
Your ticket includes the entry fee and a private seat, so you watch the entire procession in comfort without jostling for position on the roadside. A personal guide, food, and drinks are not included, so arrive prepared. Minimum age for this event is 12. Lakpura organises your admission so that on the night, you simply take your seat and watch one of Sri Lanka's most celebrated Buddhist festivals unfold in front of you.
