About this experience
Set off from Nuwara Eliya with a hotel pickup before dawn, arriving at Belihuloya to begin your 14 km private hike at 7:45 am. Your English-speaking guide opens with a safety briefing, then leads you along Non Pareil Road through the Non Pareil Tea Estate and into the heart of Horton Plains — Sri Lanka's coldest and windiest plateau, where wild grasslands give way to dense cloud forest, rocky outcrops, and misty lakes. The full loop brings you back to the trailhead by 5 pm, totalling 10 hours from start to finish.
At World's End, a sheer cliff drops roughly 1,200 metres to the lowlands below — one of the most striking viewpoints on the island. Sambar deer are a regular sight in the early morning hours along the trail. Your package includes a one-litre bottle of mineral water per person, a return transfer, and all taxes. Entrance fees to Horton Plains National Park, meals, and personal expenses are not included.
