Green Trails Sri Lanka is a purpose-driven experience near Bundala National Park. You join a guided tree-planting initiative at Bundala School, founded in 1874, and contribute to a long-term reforestation project in the area.
The programme is led by Major General (Retd.) Ubaya Medawala and U Strategy.
What you do
- A tree-planting ceremony: plant native saplings in the school grounds, guided by conservation experts and community representatives.
- Meet the students: talk with local students about conservation and sustainability.
- The bigger picture: learn about Sri Lanka's carbon offset and reforestation initiatives.
- A certificate: receive a personalised appreciation certificate recognising your contribution.

Getting there
Transport to the starting point is not included. Your driver can bring you there, or we can arrange a vehicle on request at an extra cost.
