About this experience
Board your Robinson R66 helicopter at Ratmalana Airport and fly north towards Sigiriya's rock fortress. The R66 is a four-seat, turboshaft-powered aircraft certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, built for a smoother, quieter ride than earlier Robinson models. The 110-minute round flight takes you over Sri Lanka's lowlands and cultural heartland before landing at Sigiriya Airfield.
From the airfield, a chauffeur guide drives you directly to the historical site and back, so there's nothing to arrange on the ground. The experience suits travellers aged 10 and above and runs around two hours door to door. Ground transport between the airfield and Sigiriya is included; entrance fees to the site and meals are not.
