Deegayu JointHealer Plus is an Ayurveda concept-based herbal capsule formulated and manufactured in Sri Lanka by Deegayu Ayurvedic and Botanical Products (Pvt.) Ltd., a company that has been producing botanical preparations since 2001. Each white plastic bottle contains 90 capsules, and the formula draws on five principal ingredients sourced from across several traditional medicine systems — Ayurveda, South American botanical practice, and Traditional Chinese medicine.
The five key ingredients are Cat's Claw (Uncaria tomentosa), Turmeric in a nano-curcumin form (Curcuma longa), Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata), Chitin, and Sea Cucumber. Cat's Claw is a woody vine native to the Amazon rainforest; Boswellia serrata is a resinous tree associated with Indian Ayurvedic tradition; nano-curcumin is a finely processed form of the turmeric root, widely used across South and South-East Asian herbal practice. Chitin is a polysaccharide derived from animal sources such as crustacean shells, and Sea Cucumber is a marine animal — both ingredients are worth noting for consumers who follow vegetarian or vegan diets.
Deegayu describes the preparation as using standardised water-soluble botanical extracts, and the product is classified by the manufacturer under their range of Ayurveda concept-based herbal health promotional products. The manufacturing and labelling of the bottle follows standard pharmaceutical-style conventions, with batch number, manufacture date, expiry date and price fields printed on the label in both Sinhala and English.
Each bottle of 90 capsules carries a shelf life of 24 months from its manufacture date, as confirmed by the batch information printed on packaging samples. The manufacturer recommends taking one capsule before each meal, three times a day, adjusting with experience over the course of a month. The product is sold internationally through e-commerce as well as locally within Sri Lanka.
