About this experience
Leave your Ahungalla hotel at 08:30 and head north to Colombo on a private, 7-hour tour with an English-speaking chauffeur guide in an air-conditioned vehicle. You'll pass the Colombo Lighthouse and Clock Tower designed by Lady Ward, the Prison Cell of the last Sri Lankan King, and views of Colombo Harbour and Beira Lake. Stops include the National Museum — galleries of royal regalia and ancient artefacts — the ornate Gangaramaya Temple, Dewatagaha Mosque, and leafy Vihara Mahadevi Park beside the Town Hall.
The day closes at Galle Face Green, Colombo's seafront promenade, for sunset over the Indian Ocean before the drive back to Ahungalla. Hotel pickup and drop-off, the vehicle, and chauffeur guide are included; entrance fees for the National Museum and Gangaramaya Temple, meals, and personal expenses are not.
