About this experience
Board your private, air-conditioned vehicle at your hotel and head south along Sri Lanka's sun-drenched coastline. Coconut palms line the road as your English-speaking chauffeur guide leads you through the highlights of the southern shore. At Madu Ganga, step into a boat and glide through a network of mangrove-fringed waterways on a river safari — keep an eye out for water monitors and birdlife woven into the canopy above.
The tour continues into Galle, where you spend time inside the Dutch-built Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of ramparts, cobbled lanes, and colonial-era architecture. Your guide walks you through its layered history before the drive back to your hotel. A one-litre water bottle per person is provided throughout the 10-hour journey. Meals, entrance fees, and personal expenses are not included.
