About this experience
Board your private jeep in Hikkaduwa and head south to Bundala National Park, a UNESCO-listed Ramsar Wetland and one of Sri Lanka's premier birding destinations. Over eight hours, your English-speaking driver guides you through the park's lagoons, scrublands, and coastal marshes — prime habitat for the flamingos, painted storks, pelicans, and hundreds of other migratory water birds that arrive here each winter from as far as Siberia and the Himalayas.
The safari is private, so the pace is yours. Scan the treetops, watch wading birds stalk the shallows, and keep your camera ready at every bend. Children aged five and above are welcome. All taxes and service charges are included; bring your own food, drinks, and tips for the crew.
