Beam Pawatta Thalsookiri Syrup is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal syrup from Beam made with pawatta leaves, palm sugar (thalsookiri), ginger and sugar. It is taken by the spoonful three times a day before meals, with the dose set by age.
The syrup takes its name from its two main ingredients: pawatta, a leafy shrub, and thalsookiri, the Sinhala name for palm sugar, which gives the syrup a mild sweetness. The label states that no artificial flavours or colourings are used; permitted preservatives are added. The bottle comes in a labelled carton.
